Fazzi Nanini Editions is the independent publishing house of photographer Helen Miller. Founded in London in 1994, it began as a somewhat secret activity for her short stories and artist’s books. Its first publication was a slim volume, Marble Cake (1994), designed to be slipped between books in libraries and fall into your hands by chance.

Similarly thin books followed, until one day there was enough space to fit the title on the spine. As the writing expanded, it gathered drawings, letters and diaries; essays were published; catalogues were printed, and soon there was a shelf of books that formed a documentary archive.

With a core commitment to photography and a dedication to non-fiction, FN Editions publishes cross disciplinary titles. It continues to focus on stories from lived experience, writing as personal investigation, and considers the physical object of the book an essential form of modern communication.
